Why I'm riding:

Over the past year, Lisa and I have had the opportunity to travel to Mexico to work with members of our church, Mountain Ridge Baptist and the 1Mission organization to build new homes with families in the Puerta Peñasco area. Each family that participates in this program works within their community to serve others in support of the overall mission of developing their community. This was a transformational experience for both of us. Nearly 1.6 billion people around the world live in unsafe and inadequate housing. That’s 1 in 5 of us! People are living in houses made of cardboard and pallets, with dirt floors and tarps for the roof. This year we have committed to helping continue to change that. We are asking you to help us change the world by donating to our 1MISSION Bikes Fight Poverty campaign. Lisa and I are raising money by participating in the Bikes Fight Poverty ride in February. The ride is 207 miles from Phoenix to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. Last year I rode the 30-mile portion of the ride with my daughter Lindsey. This year, with the emotional and physical support of my family, I am committing to ride the complete 207-mile ride. Lisa will be my personal cheerleader and moral support as well as a ride volunteer. In the end, however, this is about supporting 1Mission’s goal of developing communities that support poverty relief. We would truly appreciate your support in this mission by supporting our ride with a donation to our campaign. Every little bit can make a huge difference.

Here's where your donation will go.

Right now, you're partnering with the Alegria Nuñez Family.
